Applicants should hold aBachelor’s degree and PhD in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field from institutions recognised by the Malaysian Government. Applicants must also have obtained a credit in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.
Minimum requirements vary according to the level of appointment. ForDS13, applicants should have at least four WoS/Scopus-indexed journal publications as Corresponding or First Author, together with at least one semester of university teaching experience, three years of relevant industrial experience, or two years of postdoctoral experience. More senior appointments require stronger publication, research grant, teaching, postgraduate supervision, consultancy and academic leadership records.
Priority will be given to candidates with:
✅ Professional certification such asIr., Ts., Ch.M., or equivalent
✅ Experience developing international undergraduate or postgraduate student recruitment networks
✅ Postdoctoral experience with a strong research and publication record
✅ Experience in recruitment and promotion of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
✅ Experience managing academic programmes and leading research projects
✅ A strong record of creativity and innovation in teaching, research, consultancy, scholarly publication and community engagement
