Students who wish to undergo industrial training at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) must first log in to the SPPLI system at https://sppli.usm.my. USM students must complete self-registration and log in using the Identity Single Sign-On, while non-USM students must register for an "LI-Akaun," Industrial Training Account.

After logging in, students must fill in their details, upload the required documents, and submit their application through the system. Once submitted, the Registrar’s Office will receive an email notification, process the application, and forward it to the relevant department based on the student’s area of interest.

Once the Registrar’s Office forwards the student’s industrial training application, the relevant coordinator of the school will be notified by email to process and either accept or reject the application.

The Registrar’s Office will then officially confirm the approval status. If approved, the student will receive an offer letter and must confirm their acceptance. The student must then report to the school and complete their information in the SPPLI system. The Registrar’s Office and the school will verify the student’s reporting. The student will then undergo the industrial training according to the specified duration. Upon completion, the student must submit a completion verification form. Once confirmed by the Registrar and the school, the student will receive an e-certificate of completion for the industrial training.
