SIRIM PENANG AUDITORIUM, 29 Apr 2026 - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheng Lai Hoong from the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia, was invited as a speaker for the Seminar Keselamatan Makanan BKKM JKN Pulau Pinang 2026, organised by the Food Safety and Quality Division (BKKM), Penang State Health Department. The seminar was held on 29 April 2026.
The seminar brought together officers from BKKM Pulau Pinang to enhance knowledge and professional competence in food safety, food quality, and public health. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheng was among several distinguished experts invited to share their expertise alongside speakers from Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Her invitation to contribute to this professional seminar reflects recognition of her expertise and the School of Industrial Technology's commitment to knowledge sharing and strengthening food safety practices at the state and national levels.
