Graduate Employability Enhancement Scheme (GEES)

 

This is a 12-month training programme introduced by PETRONAS in collaboration with the Malaysian Government to enhance the marketability of unemployed Malaysian graduates by:

  1. Building and enhancing their critical soft-skills.
  2. Providing experiential learning to develop positive personal attributes for the workplace.

This programme is open to university graduates with a Bachelor’s degree from the following background:

  1. Engineering & Sciences: Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Oil & Gas, Industrial and Production, Mathematics and Chemistry
  2. Business & Management: Accounting & Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Studies, Economics and Commerce, Human Resources, Marketing and Branding, Project Management, Event Management, Information and Records Management
  3. Information Technology, Data Science and Analysis, Computer Science and Software Engineering
  4. Communication & Media: Corporate Communication, Graphic and Multimedia Design.
  5. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Environment 
  6. Any other relevant background.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Malaysian citizen not more than 26 years old (at the point of application).
  2. Bachelor's Degree holder with minimum CGPA of 3.0.
  3. Unemployed within six (6) to twelve (12) months after graduation.

The School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), is inviting applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (FPD). This opportunity is designed to attract high-quality researchers to contribute to impactful research aligned with national and global priorities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic merit and research output within the last three (3) years, as follows:

Science Fields

  • Minimumtwo (2) publications inISI Web of Science Q1/Q2 journals (JCR indexed)

  • At leastone (1) publication as First Author, or

  • One (1) patent

Additional Requirements

  • Research area must align with an identified USM supervisor

  • Supervisor must be affiliated with a School/Centre of Excellence
