Dr. Mohamad Shazeli Che Zain is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and the Principal Investigator of the Phytochemistry and Nanotechnology Research Group (PhytoRG). He holds a PhD in Phytochemistry from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from IMU University. He is a professional chemist and technologist recognized by the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, the Malaysia Board of Technologists, and the Malaysian Natural Products Society. Guided by the Reimagine Waste aspiration, Dr. Shazeli's research focuses on sustainable herbal product standardization, green bioscience technologies, and health-promoting bioproduct innovations through the transformation of underutilized bioresources into high-value products. His work has led to high-impact publications, patent applications, and innovation awards. Combining industrial R&D experience with academic leadership, he is committed to mentoring the next generation of scientists and innovators. He actively contributes to national and international scientific communities, including the Young Scientist Network–Academy of Sciences Malaysia, the Malaysian Young Chemists Network, and the IUPAC International Younger Chemists Network. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for journals published by leading publishers, including Elsevier and Springer Nature, and is an accredited trainer with the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp). He welcomes opportunities for research collaborations, industrial partnerships, and professional consultations.
