 {tab=Profile}

Associate Professor, a Council Member of Centre for Global Sustainability Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia (CGSS) and former Coordinator/Deputy Director of Centre for Business Development, USM (2016-2019). Currently, was appointed as Head, SAINS@ALORSETAR program, a professional program for Business Management & Sustainability.

My previous work was the understanding of tropical system through water, carbon and nitrogen cycles. Such knowledge has led to further research in environmental risk assessment of land use activities on tropical watershed (water quality & toxicity of surface & groundwater)

My fundamental work on water, carbon & nitrogen cycles has inspired a new venture, the utilization of agrowaste (EFB & POME) for low-end application i.e. mulching & soil erosion mitigation.This work is part of environmental risk management in reducing the impact of plantation industry to environment, while promoting circular economy.

As well, I involved actively in industry's strategic environmental management & sustainability i.e environmental & risk training module development, EMS 14001 & OSH 45001 consultancy and system development in preparing current environmental management system for the changing landscape of IR4.0.

Internationally, I serves as a Chief Scientific Investigator of Malaysia-IAEA-Coordinated Research Project (2014-2017) for Global Network of Isotopes for Rivers (GNIR). The network is based in Vienna, Austria.
