Malaysian Sugar Manufacturing Fellowship 2025 Call


Please be informed that the application for the Malaysian Sugar Manufacturing Fellowship 2025 is now open. It is for current (less than 6 months) and future (to be registered) M.Sc. students by research at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The amount is RM 60,000 for two years, comprising a RM 36,000 stipend, RM 14,000 in tuition fees, and RM 10,000 in research expenses.
Deadline: 22nd August 2025.

MSM Fellowship Application Requirements/Selection Criteria

  1. This MSM Fellowship is awarded to postgraduate students pursuing or planning to pursue a Master’s Degree at the School of Industrial Technology, USM only.
  2. The following students are eligible to apply
    1. Newly registered postgraduates, less than six months from their registration date
    2. Graduated students who have applied for a Master Programme to the Institute of Postgraduate (IPS) USM for a program at
    3. Graduated students accepted for a Master Programme by the Institute of Postgraduate (IPS) USM, but yet to register.
  3. Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 in the relevant field.
  4. The applicant must be a Malaysian who is not more than 30 years old in the year of application.
  5. The applicant must not be bonded to or receive any financial aid or awards from other organizations/institutions for his/her Master Programme. If the applicant decides to accept MSM Fellowship, he/she must withdraw from the other financial aid.
  6. Upon completing the study, the recipient of MSM Fellowship must remain in Malaysia to work for the public or private sector for a minimum period of two (2) years. However, if the Fellow chooses to further his/her study immediately or while serving the service bond, he/she may write to the Engagement Committee for exemption.
