DNA Explorace: The Quest for Sustainable Proteins

With the theme “DNA Explorace: The Quest for Sustainable Proteins”, this community outreach programme aimed to introduce secondary school students to the exciting world of alternative proteins and bioprocessing.

A total of 138 Form 5 students participated in the programme, guided by 18 Bioprocess Engineering Technology students who served as facilitators. Through interactive activities and explorace-style learning, participants were exposed to how bioprocess concepts can be applied in alternative protein production.

The programme served as a meaningful platform to connect classroom learning with real-world applications, while inspiring students to explore how bioprocessing can contribute to global challenges such as food security and sustainable protein sources.
