KOMPLEKS CAHAYA SISWA USM ,17 APR 2026 - The Industrial Technology community organised a Syawal Open House as a heartfelt celebration of Eid. With around 100 participants in attendance, the programme brought together students from all years, from first-year undergraduates to final-year students, creating a rare and meaningful opportunity for everyone to gather in one space. The event was organised by the High Committee with strong support from the Student Council (MPP), ensuring the programme ran smoothly and successfully.
This open house was more than just a festive gathering; it served as a moment to strengthen bonds across cohorts and foster a stronger sense of unity within the department. It also allowed students who were unable to return home for Eid to experience the warmth and joy of Syawal together. In addition, non-Muslim students also joined the celebration, appreciating the cultural richness of Malaysian traditions, including the beauty of baju kurung and the spirit of togetherness that defines Hari Raya.
To enhance the atmosphere, a variety of light-hearted activities such as “guess the song” games were organised, followed by informal interviews during the meal session to create a more relaxed and engaging environment amid a stressful academic week. Ultimately, the programme succeeded in creating lasting memories, allowing students to celebrate, connect, and appreciate one another before moving forward in their academic journey.
