USM , 12 APR 2026 – The team behind Eco-Connect: Bridging Ideas for a Sustainable Tomorrow recently organised a meaningful webinar that brought together students, TISOC members, and individuals who are passionate about sustainability. The programme aimed to raise environmental awareness, encourage creative thinking, and promote practical green solutions. The webinar was well attended, with around 200 students joining actively, creating a vibrant and engaging learning environment. Through informative sessions and active discussions, participants were inspired to reflect on their daily habits, understand the concept of the circular economy, and explore modern technologies that support environmental protection.
To enrich the programme, we invited an experienced speaker, Dato' Kamaruddin bin Harun, to share his valuable knowledge and professional insights. Then came the main event as he took the virtual stage to discuss the realities of waste management and the circular economy. This session was not just an ordinary lecture, as it challenged participants to think critically about environmental issues and inspired them to consider practical solutions for a more sustainable future.
This event was more than just an ordinary talk, as it encouraged the community to become agents of change in creating a greener future. Participants gained valuable knowledge about current environmental challenges and learned practical ways to contribute towards sustainability. In addition, the interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to share their thoughts, ask questions, and learn directly from the invited environmental consultant.
