Workshop On Response Surface Methodology In Bioprocessing **Update**
Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is a collection of mathematical and statistical techniques based on the fit of a polynomial equation to the experimental data, which must describe the behavior of a data set with the objective of making statistical previsions. It can be well applied when a response or a set of responses of interest are influenced by several variables. This workshop aims to cover the following goals: to optimize an underlying process and look for the factor level combinations that give us the maximum yield and minimum costs. In some cases, this approach can be used to hit a target or aim to match some given specifications.
*** UPDATE***
A one and half day workshop response surace methodology (RSM) in bioprocessing has been successfully orgnized by Bioprocess Technology Division on 2-3 February 2016. The wokshop has gained a great response from student and researchers from various organizations such as Malaysian Cocoa Board and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). In the workshop, the participant has been introduced to the latest version of design of experiment software and its application in the bioprocess research. The workshop has covered the details on statistical analysis and the participant has also exprienced a hands-on data analysis of a case study using the software. Overall, the event went off very well and has received a good feedback from the participants.
