PPTI Welcomes New Students for the cohort 2026/2027

The School of Industrial Technology welcomed 120 new students during the Majlis Perjumpaan Pelajar Baharu Program Siswa Lestari Sidang Akademik 2026/2027, held on 25 September 2026. The event marked an important beginning for the new cohort as they embarked on their academic journey at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The School comprises four divisions, namely Food Technology, Bioprocess Engineering Technology, Bioresource Technology, and Environmental Technology, offering students diverse opportunities to pursue their interests in science, technology, sustainability, and innovation.
The programme commenced with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the School of Industrial Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusri Yusup, who welcomed the new students and highlighted the importance of making the most of their university experience. This was followed by an academic briefing delivered by the Deputy Dean of Academic, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sapina Abdullah, who provided students with important information and guidance regarding their academic journey, responsibilities, and expectations as university students.
Following the academic briefing, the students were divided according to their respective programmes. Each group then attended a programme-specific briefing conducted by the respective Programme Chairperson. These sessions provided students with more detailed information about their programmes, including academic requirements, programme structure, learning activities, and other matters relevant to their studies.
The School of Industrial Technology warmly welcomes all 120 new students to the School and wishes them a meaningful and rewarding university experience.
