The School of Industrial Technology (PPTI), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), will be organising a Paper and Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Recycling Programme as part of its continuous commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible waste management.
This initiative aims to encourage the PPTI community to recycle unused materials, promote a cleaner and more organised working environment, and support the University's sustainability agenda.
Members of the PPTI community are encouraged to bring recyclable items, including:

Examination answer scripts and students' assignments from the 2020/2021 academic session and earlier

Draft copies of students' theses
-
Used paper and cardboard boxes

Old reading materials such as books, magazines, and journals

Damaged electrical and electronic equipment, including household electrical appliances, computer equipment, mobile phones, and other electronic devices
Participants are kindly reminded to remove staples, adhesive tapes, plastic covers, and any non-paper materials from paper items before submission. Trolleys will be available at the Wood Workshop to assist with transporting bulky or heavy items.
A recycling company's collection lorry is scheduled to arrive at 3:00 p.m. to collect all recyclable materials gathered during the programme.
