The Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia to attract outstanding international students to pursue postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) at Malaysian universities.
International graduates with strong academic achievements and active co-curricular involvement are encouraged to apply and experience world-class higher education in Malaysia, together with Malaysian hospitality.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship supports postgraduate study at Malaysian public universities and selected private higher education institutions, providing recipients with the opportunity to undertake advanced research and academic training in Malaysia.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be citizens of eligible recipient countries

Intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in Malaysia; or

Currently be pursuing full-time postgraduate studies in Malaysian universities with at least two semesters remaining
Eligible applicants include graduates from:

ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)

Commonwealth countries

Selected countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East including China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Russia, Brazil, and others.
