We welcome our new Industry/Community Advisory Panel (ICAP) for the Bioprocess Technology programme, Mr. Shinichi Shimose from the 1st of January 2025 to the 31st of December 2026. He is the founder, chairman, and CTO of JET Co., Ltd, Japan.
With over 40 years of experience in environmental engineering, renewable energy, and biomass technology, Mr. Shimose is a pioneer in the field of sustainability. He is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of JET Co., Ltd., leading innovations in resource recovery and waste management since 2013. In 2024, he was also appointed as an investor and CTO of SMLC (M), further strengthening his commitment to sustainable innovation.
Mr. Shimose has demonstrated exceptional energy and productivity as a researcher, technical advisor, and company leader. As a Japanese national, Mr. Shimose offers a fresh perspective from a country renowned for technological advancement and commitment to sustainability. His presence helps the university understand and adopt Japan’s best practices in sustainable technology and green economic development.
