Malaysian Students (click here to download the Entry Requirements)

1. Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Malaysia (STPM), Matrikulasi Kementerian Pengajian Malaysia (KPM), Asasi Sains, Asasi UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA)
   • Fulfil general requirements of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Note that the webpage is in Bahasa Malaysia.
   • Fulfil special requirements of the Bioresource Tech programme:
     • Passed STPM with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 2.00.
     • Obtained at least a C ("NGMP" 2.00) for any one of the following subjects: 
       • For STPM: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics T
       • For Matrikulasi and Asasi: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics; Physics Engineering / Chemistry Engineering; Basic Engineering
2. A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
   • Passed Diploma with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 2.00. OR
     
   • Passed A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and obtained at least a C in any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics or Further Mathematics. OR
   • Passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 24 and obtained a score of 4 at the High Level (HL) or at the Standard Level (SL) in any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics / Further Mathematics / Mathematical Studies / Mathematical Methods. OR
   • Passed Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtained at least a C in any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematical Studies / Specialist Mathematics. OR
   • Any qualifications that are recognised by the Malaysian government and endorsed by the University Senate to be of the equivalent level with any of the above certifications.
