3-min Thesis Competition
The Three-min Thesis competition was held on Jan 22nd, 2018 at the conference room, School of Industrial Technology. This competition was organized to challenge Ph.D. students to present a compelling oration on their research just within 3 min. Eight participants that were valiant enough to undertake this competition had put forth their best efforts to capture the audience's attention in the simplest way, yet engaging without compromising the essence of their research. Four judges from various disciplines were selected to critically assess the participants' performances; Assoc. Prof. Wan Nadiah (School of Industrial Technology), Ms. Ida Suhaini (School of Languages, Literacies & Translation), Dr. Leelany Ayob (School of Humanities) and Dr. Aisyah Saad Abdul Rahim (School of Pharmaceutical Sciences). The winners were Dayang Norlaila Hj. Latip (1st place), Seow Eng Keng (2nd place), and Siti Nuraya Abd Samat (People's Choice Award). The winners will undergo in-house training before taking part in the USM Three-min Thesis competition.
