Food Technology with specialization in Functional Food work in advance food microbiology (gut microbiota, fermentation), modern food processing technology, evidence-based functional foods (antioxidants, bioactive compounds, glycemic index), analytical sciences, sensory evaluation method, product development, human nutrition, modern disease and assessment of functionalities (clinical studies). Ultimately this area of specialization focuses on the relationship between functional food and health.
