Advanced Cellulose / Nano cellulose-based Materials

This area focuses on the development and production of cellulose-based materials for advanced applications. Cellulose is a non-toxic, biodegradable, and biocompatible polymeric material. Various modifications through chemical alteration, mechanical-chemical treatments as well as regeneration of the technique can be done to expand the application of cellulose by modifying its characteristics such as solubility, hydrophilicity, and thermal and chemical stability. Advanced cellulose-based materials are applicable in pharmaceutical dan biomedical applications, thermoelectric sensors, as well as energy storage devices.
