Malaysian Students

1. Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Malaysia (STPM), Matrikulasi Kementerian Pengajian Malaysia (KPM), Asasi Sains, Asasi UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA)
   • Fulfil general requirements of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Note that the webpage is in Bahasa Malaysia.
   • Fulfil special requirements of the Bioprocess Tech programme:
     • Passed STPM with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 2.67.
     • Obtained at least a C- ("NGMP" 2.00) for Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: 
       • For STPM: Chemistry; Physics; Biology
       • For Matrikulasi and Asasi: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Physics Engineering / Chemical Engineering
         
2. Diploma in related fields
   
   • Fulfil general requirements of Universiti Sains Malaysia.
     
   • Passed diploma in related field with minimum CGPA of at least 2.67.
     
3. A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
   • Passed Diploma with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 2.67. OR
     
   • Passed A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and obtained at least a B in Mathematics  and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry; Physics; and Biology. OR
   • Passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 20 and obtained a score of 4 at the High Level (HL) or at the Standard Level (SL) in Mathematics or Mathematics / Further Mathematics / Mathematical Studies / Mathematical Methods  and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics. OR
   • Passed Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtained at least a B  in Mathematics or Mathematics / Further Mathematics / Mathematical Studies / Mathematical Methods and any one of the following subjects:  Chemistry; Biology; Physics. OR
   • Any qualifications that are recognised by the Malaysian government and endorsed by the University Senate to be of the equivalent level with any of the above certifications.
