Food Tech Entry

International Students

Malaysian Students (click here to download the Entry Requirements)

  1. Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Malaysia (STPM), Matrikulasi Kementerian Pengajian Malaysia (KPM), Asasi Sains, Asasi UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA)
    • Fulfil general requirements of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Note that the webpage is in Bahasa Malaysia.
    • Fulfil special requirements of the Food Tech programme:
      • Passed STPM with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 3.00.
      • Obtained at least a B for any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics T
  2. A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
    • Passed Diploma with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or "PNGK" of 3.00. OR
    • Passed A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and obtained at least a B in any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics or Further Mathematics. OR
    • Passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and obtained a score of 4 at the High Level (HL) or at the Standard Level (SL) in any two of the following subjects: Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematics / Further Mathematics / Mathematical Studies / Mathematical Methods. OR
    • Passed Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtained at least a B in any two of the following subjects:  Chemistry; Biology; Physics; Mathematical Studies / Specialist Mathematics. OR
    • Any qualifications that are recognised by the Malaysian government and endorsed by the University Senate to be of the equivalent level with any of the above certifications.
